They took apart the steering column of the 1997 Chevy Blazer to check why brake lights and hazard lights were not working.  They told me the problem was the electronic lighting module, which was about $500+ to repair.

A couple days later, the lights started working again.

When you google this, you'll see this is a common Chevy issue with the hazard lights switch know on top of the steering colum sticking.  If this happens to you, simply work it several times, spray some switch cleaner, and that should solve your problem.  If not, replace the switch knob, which sells for about $18 online.

Anyway, be wary of taking something complicated to this shop!
