I just took my car for inspection today, twice. First time I had the wrong insurance cert, but the kid did the road test before telling that. So I run home get the correct cert. I come back and he does another road test. Then performs the computer inspections. I then get told I'm all set and they take my credit card and charge me. Then I'm told the car didn't pass the parking break test. This kid had TWO opportunities to tell me my brake would not hold at 1000 rpms so there was no reason to do the rest of the test. Instead, I made a trip home and came back to get ripped off by these guys. When I asked for a refund, I was told to call DPS. If this is the kind of people you want to trust with your car service, be my guest. They are crooks. I was only there because Vavoline's computers were down due to the storm. My mistake. They don't know WHAT they are doing here. Takes them hours to get done with my car every time I am there, and they would tell me "10 more minutes" when I would ask about the status, instead of just telling me it would take a few hours. Also, twice, they didn't have the part to fix my car but didn't tell me that up front. Would inquire when my car would be finished and they would say "the guy is on his way with the part" (when, he wasn't really 'on the way'). Why wouldn't you tell someone you don't even have the part, and that it will take a while for it to get there?? They are complete SCAM ARTISTS. Stay away.They don't know WHAT they are doing here. I took my car to have a headlight changed. All was well till 3 days later when the bulb was not working again. I was told to take it back to see what the problem was ans was informed that a housing was broken when the bulb was being replaced and that they would order a new part and replace it for me. Three days later I was called and took the car back to have the situation corrected only to be told they ordered the wrong part. I was told I would back in a few days to have the problem solved. I never got a call back and when I called them no one knew what was going on. I have subsequently spoken to a few of the people who work there and was told this was a matter for the manager. The manager has evaded my calls and told employees that he does not want to discuss the matter with me. He did not have the common courtesy to speak with me on the phone. This is not just a lack of customer service it is a complete disrespect for the customer. Do not entrust your vehicle to this operation. Knew the old owners. Didn't know they were gone. Went in for Oil change, Front and Rear Differential service and Transmission flush all with Royal Purple fluids. In less than 17 minutes claimed to be done with it all. IMPOSSIBLE! Royal Purple is a synthetic and pricy oil that has a purple hue color. The fluids in my vehicle did not. I took samples and sent them to Royal Purple and have the results to prove that is NOT their product. Tried to talk to the owner/manager would not discuss. One employee (after I questioned the oil first) looked to make sure no one could hear and said " I would look at the diff's and transmission also". This owner is a joke and a crook. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! to many other good honest Kwik Kars and other placesKnew the old owners. Didn't know they were gone.
