When I first called, it was to schedule an appointment to have a used car (a Lexus) checked out before I bought it. I spoke with the owner, who offered me advice on how to evaluate both the car and the dealer, and said he could accommodate my needs at any point that day or the next in regards to the inspection. I ended up liking the car and drove with the dealer to the shop. When we arrived, a mechanic immediately drove the car, then put it up on the lift to check it out. The owner came into the waiting room and asked me to step into the shop to look at the car with him. He showed me the undercarriage (which was essentially rotting away) and told me I absolutely should not buy the car. I was disappointed, of course, but so appreciative that the owner was not only up-front with me, but then didn't even charge me for the visit!!! I would absolutely service my car at Bay Diagnostic! Just pulled in to ask about a service for my vehicle. Great news, t... read more Just pulled in to ask about a service for my vehicle. Great news, the staff is all well fed. They were all sitting around in the break room just behind the front counter. I walked in, said hi and waited for a reply. The men - about 5 - just kept shoveling food into their mouths and stared at me. Odd, so I waited a moment. Then asked if there is anyone who can help me. They all - and I mean ALL - averted their eyes and went for another forkful. "Soooooo, should I just wait guys?" Another forkful. "Should I just go then," I asked. Finally got an answer. One guy took the time between stuffing his face to shrug at me. I laughed and left. Great place. Can't wait for the failures who run it like this to sell it to someone who might care. I certainly wouldn't want people with that level of pride or care working on my car. So many options with people who don't suck. Go elsewhere. Life its too short to wait for lunch break to end for basic human respect.
