The longest wait was for parts from Mini USA, but they were able to have everything done very fast. The car came back spotless, and the price was much less than the dealer. They also accepted my extended dealer warrenty that I purchased when I bought my car with no problems.

I was quoted 600+ dollars to replace the switch. I thought this to be a bit "over the top" price as the national average repair price ranges from 300 to 500 dollars. Well it just happen to have been a Monday before Christmas eve and I needed to have the car back ASAP. Being the week of Christmas they were the only shop near by- that had time to take a look at my car and because the ignition key would no longer fit or turn - I had no choice to have it towed there. The honesty and integrity of this shop is called into serious question. I needed the car back ASAP so I gave the go ahead to replace the ignition switch. When the car was ready to be picked up- the price jumped to $870 and is too often the case excuses were made. The "car needed to be reprogrammed" after the installation of the new switch. Labor I was told was 1.5 hours. 1.5 hours of labor plus reprogramming=$870? I do not think so. . I am not a car mechanic but I have worked many years as maintenance technician so I am both technically and mechanically inclined. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO GRADYS AUTO AS THE PRICES ARE MORE OFTEN- than not very UNREASONABLE ALONG WITH WE ARE DOING YOU A "FAVOR" TYPE OF ATTITUDE FROM THERE MECHANICS.
