Was told "it'll run better than it's ever run before" Brought out on lake NOPE. Item's I told were never fixed or even looked at. Brought it back this summer. 1st time, wouldn't start at all, waited 3 more weeks, again the Item's I wanted fixed NEVER fixed. The service woman who "owns" the place told me in her snide smoker's voice that "it's not my problem you don't know how to start your boat" and immediately after the service guy said I had a faulty trim button she comes out and says "funny it works for me and not you" When I got upset with her refusal to do the things promised she walked away and said "I'm done with you!" Do not waste your time or money on this poorly run, poor customer service business!!!!
I took my boat to Milltown Dock & Marine for repair and had the absolu... read more I took my boat to Milltown Dock & Marine for repair and had the absolute worst experience of my life. They had my boat for 7 weeks! Every 3 days I called and it was one problem after another. It really seemed like they didn't know what they were doing. It truly seemed like they were guessing. The motor on my boat worked perfectly with the exception of some issues with the control cables. I asked that they replace my control box with one I purchased and that's where it all started. I finally picked my boat up after almost 2 months and not only does it not function the way it should, it's worse. I now have to pull start the motor and have to choke it to turn it off. I spent over $700, got many of my own parts because they couldn't seemingly get them shipped from Forest Lake, MN about 40 miles away, got my boat back worse than it was and on top of that I was treated so poorly I was shocked. I asked the shop to keep all the original parts which they didn't. The "tossed them out" as part of their shop cleaning. The whole experience was a nightmare. I won't recommend this business to anyone. I always like to support local businesses but this is one I can't. Beware of this business!
Bought a used motor that neverran right, spit & sputter & die out. Bro... read more Bought a used motor that neverran right, spit & sputter & die out. Brought back to fix. Was there most off fishing season never returning calls. Picked up & the same. Deal now to leave for the winter to fix. Called in march & told part ordered.Called month later & Lori the owner knows nothing of part ordered or status of motor. Her rudely said we can pick it up anytime & we've been very patient with you. I said, No, we've been very patient with you. Deal was to keep for the winter. I said, winter is over. My husband had a stroke last week. She said he would be very disappointed in me. (that is a personal attack with no sympathy) I said, when will you know when our motor is fixed. She talked very fast & yelling. Could not understand her except towards end, I made out she will talk to me tomarrow after she talks to mechanic & hung up the phone on me. I called back next day & she was not there. I called next day & she said they can nnot fix it. I thought they just looked into after haaving it all winter. SHe would talk to other owners, I questioned in my mine if their are any, & she would give me a refund, since she looked in records & sees they sold us the motor that never ran right. I thought Da....I knew that. I said I would call back monday. today is thursday. If I don't get a full refund back my husband & I will take them to court. Lori is rude,made an inappropriate comment I found offensive. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS!
