We were not even halfway through our vacation, and since it was a Sunday afternoon, we loaded up our boat to head home and assumed our trip was not only over but were also unsure what kind of damage or repair bills were in our near future with salt water in the lower unit. We noticed the open door on Cain's shop as we were leaving town, and made a quick U-turn. We expected to be turned away or hear that there was nothing they could do for us. Instead, the owner and mechanic at Cains stopped their work to come look at our problem. They discovered a loose bolt which had allowed water to enter our lower unit, and informed us that the water should be taken out as soon as possible to prevent further damage. Without hesitating, they told us they would hate to see us go home early just for a minor repair, and immediately started working on a solution to fix it. They found the parts we needed in their shop, and quickly and professionally drained our system twice to ensure all the water was removed. Their fee was completely reasonable, especially for emergency repairs on a Sunday afternoon that saved our trip. We were in disbelief that they acted so quickly and treated us like their most important customer. I had no knowledge of Cains before our trip, and now want to tell everyone about them! Thanks Bob!
