i took my 2000 gmc sonoma 4x4 pickup to kellys kar kare on 7-11-12 to ... read more i took my 2000 gmc sonoma 4x4 pickup to kellys kar kare on 7-11-12 to have the transmission serviced. i had an appointment which apparently means nothing at kellys, every time someone came in they stopped working on my vehicle.while servicing my transmission, the kid doing the work couldnt get the transmission pan back on, got mad, threw a fit an broke a shift solinoid in the transmission. i wittnessed this. i was forced to pay for this to fix my truck. i arrived at kellys at 8 a.m . i got my truck back at 3.46 p.m. it was stuck in 3rd gear and i had no working gauges. kellys said if i left the truck they would tear back into the teansmission. after what i saw, i said give me back my truck.i had to pay $300.74 to get my truck back. i got in it and had to adjust the seat, when i pulled the lever, it came off in my hand. i looked at it, it had some type of epoxy all over it that was still sticky.i took my broken truck to booth laduke motors and explained my situation,they fixed my truck at a cost of $88.00. kellys had shorted out the wiring in the transmission , blowing the fuse that controlled the shift solonoids and the gauges.thank goodness that was all.my seat is still broken and kellys actually had the nerve to send me another bill for the oil change they did at the same time, which i had already paid.the moral of this story, do your research and go to a reputable mechanic. an ad in the phone book doesnt mean they know what they are doing. i tryed to recoupe some of my money from kellys, no luck. i dont think he can even come up with it. i dont have to wonder why.everyone i talk to about this has a simular story.
