We had a few reasonable questions/concerns upon picking up our ‘finished’ vehicle after overlooking it, and after they already had our vehicle for over a month and right away he was coursing up a storm and saying that it was all good and nothing was wrong. One of the concerns was of the hood which when you normally would let the hood go from your hands it will close, well it does not close properly, you have to literally slam it down to close properly. You know how you can do the extra push with your palm if it did not close all the way to click it shut? He said that is not at all how you should close a hood by pressing on it lightly. Our hood now, if it doesn’t close from being the first or second SLAM and it clearly will not click with a press down either, you have to unlatch it and SLAM it until it clicks closed. There was an issue with the vehicle model name tag on the side of the vehicle as well that it was not even properly glued back on and only a quarter of it was glued and it was bent. There was also a paint chip that was not on the vehicle which he told us before we could even finish, he said that was already there and WE SHOULD HAVE TOLD THEM ABOUT IT, uhhh hello, you’re the auto body shop – you mean to tell me, you want us to tell you how to do your job? That chip was most certainly not pre-existing before we went there, he kept ranting and raving and coursing that he wanted us out of there and we were as polite as we could be for being talked to like pieces of garbage, and it was not our fault. So in the mist of things while he clearly took no ownership for the faults that were present on our vehicle I chimed in for that one matter and explained that the vehicle was here for a month and a half, that chip very well could have happened from one of his works who was working on the truck. As a few times from passing by and stopping in I had seen how carelessly all of the parts and boxes that were just piling up and thrown in the back of our bed, so how could he not consider one of his workers who could of accidently made that new chip from setting any tools on the hood. He just continued to attack us and said he wanted us out of there and we said fine with us but then refused to let us pay him to just leave and be done with them as he claimed he would now need to bring these ‘NEW MATTERS’ up to insurance (matters that were not new, they just did not fix it properly!!!); so until he called and talked to them our vehicle was not going anywhere! You can imagine, by now, that we were certainly not leaving our vehicle any longer with this ticking time bomb who couldn’t control hitting things and every other word was profanity. So I said fine, had the check book out waiting to write the check and they still refused to take payment, so I said fine we have our other key, if you do not want to take payment right now we will mail it to you and we are taking our truck right now. And that set off his anger management even more with slamming more doors, counter tops, throwing paperwork and more of the F*** this and F*** you and F*** that, and said he was calling the cops. So I told him good, and that I will call for him. Needless to say, he put on a ‘I’ve cooled off’ front once the cops arrived and said everything was fine, patting our shoulders and that he was sorry for how he acted and that he would for sure get the issues straightened out and that a new vehicle model name tag would be reordered and put on and so forth. After Jimmy’s epic episode of apologizing and promising to make things right, they finally took payment and Jimmy said they would call when the name tag came in and what not; we never heard back from them, which is fine because we would not trust them with any another vehicle ever again, and obviously we also do not recommend them.

Anytime an insurance company recommends a shop, IMO it means the work is cheap for them. So I was expecting shoddy work, and that I would not be all that happy. Wellll.... Half of my truck needed new paneling. One door was mangled and wouldn't even close and the adjacent passenger door had trouble opening and closing. But insurance company hooked me up with a nice Dodge 4X4 V8 1500 that was a lot of fun to drive while the work was being done. There were so many panels that needed to be fixed on my truck, I was expecting AT LEAST a month of work, if not 6 weeks. Surpisingly, I got a call 2.5 weeks later from my insurance company saying that the work was pretty much done. I thought it was a mistake, but 2 days later, 2 Guys called and said come get my truck. I'm thinking, OK, that's gonna need to go back, so I drove up there prepared to find all the problems that still needed work. When I got there, I saw what appeared to be a new Tundra sitting on the lot. Didn't think it was mine, but instead a new one that maybe someone working there had purchased. Upon closer inspection, learned that the truck WAS mine. I looked for problems with pinstriping, but it was perfect. I opened and closed the doors expecting alignment problems other posters spoke about, but the doors latched just like they did when I bought the truck from Toyota. Headlights that were missing from the accident were present, functioning AND aligned (beam went where it should). Even the fog lights were aligned correctly. The sonar sensors all worked, both doors locked and auto windows functional as expected. I am an engineer, so I am extremely pickly. The paint job was perfect, and the gaps between panels were factory spec and consistent along the lengths of each panel. They had even buffed out a scratch on a panel that was not a part of the repair. I did fin
