After a couple hrs. he came to me and said he couldn't get the ring off even after buying a specialty part. He then told me he had to buy a new ring. Two weeks later he came back and after I think another 3 hrs. he charged me $169. He then said you have an exhaust leak to which I said I know. Then he said "It would've been nice to know it had a full tank of gas". Does he think since he was here the first time I went and filled it? A few days later we took to get the exhaust leak when they put it up on the rack they said "did someone work on this recently?" They showed me he didn't bolt on on of the tank straps, left 2 hoses unconnected and the ring was all buggered up and had a hole gas was leaking out. So it was clear to me he put on the old ring. When I called him he said "we can cover it under warranty and said " I put it on hand tight and I have video of it." I said I was under the van and had pictures which I sent him. He set an appt for Dec 23 haven't seen or heard him since. He seems like nice guy but I would never trust him to touch my cars ever again.
This guy is a joke he completely screwed my truck up cut my alarm syst... read more This guy is a joke he completely screwed my truck up cut my alarm system up and out of my truck messed my brake lights up now I can't even drive it I had to trailer it home from Clinton to Tooele he told me when I asked after he had my truck for 2 months to com tow it and get it out of my life the only thing he did in two months was screw my truck up and put a starter and battery in it what a joke not only that he charged 2600 for a jaguar you can't even use what he supposedly fixed. I received a FIXED FOREVER parts and labor Warranty. Now the first part of September my service engine light comes on so I take it back to Steve's to have it checked out. They stated they would run a test after they pulled the codes. Call back and just the gas cap, no big deal, until I went to get my truck and they wanted over $200.00 for the gas cap. They told me that I was informed on the phone about the cost and I stated why would I be so upset if I agreed to that much for a gas cap. He stated he would check the call and I said go ahead and you will find you never told me about the extra charges just to put on a new gas cap. Both Kathy and I have had our vehicles worked on here before and they seem honest in the beginning but watch out after that. I don't like being lied to and I surely would not pay $200.00 for a gas cap. Once confronted they only charged me for a $26.00 gas cap, still expensive and did not honor my Car Care Club discount that cost me $99.95. Don't be afraid to stand up for what is right even if they get mad and pout like a child who just got caught with their hand in the cookie jar.
