To whom it may concern, I took my 2006 BMW M6 with 62,000 miles to Champion Auto Service because of the transmission light illuminated; the car transmission went on into failsafe mode with transmission light illuminated running; Gears did not selected, or changed. The transmission was stuck in neutral gear, and I could not restart engine. It took more than a month to get the car repaired. Therefore, I contacted the shop multiple times and I was receiving deviated responses from shop giving me vague reasons why the car was not ready. After a long waiting, I finally received a call from the shop informing me that the car was ready for pick up. The shop alleged fixed the car by replacing the clutch system. According to the shop, the car's clutch had to be replaced. The total repair cost to include labor and parts was almost US 3000.00 dollars. Based on this repair’s breakdown, mechanics did software update, and clutch replacement. After I made the payment, I received the receipt of payment with detailed work done in the car along with a 12,000 miles warranty for the repair. I drove the car for not even a week and the transmission light illuminated again. The car appeared to have the same aforesaid problem. Once again, I took the car to Champion Auto Service on or about October 1st, 2013 to seek warranty as agreed it on paper. I also found out that the shop took the car to the BMW dealer for repair there. I have been waiting for my car ever since and the auto service consultant continues to make deviated excuses to deliver proper service to the car. Recently, Mr Ray Davis, Champion Auto Service consultant, mentioned that a part was ordered; he also mentioned that the price for that part is almost US2000.00 dollars. I have found the following service bulletin in regard of M6 with SMG III; FC 4F42/4F43 - Hydraulic Unit Faults. Based on the malfunction codes, my car appeared to have the problems listed as follows: * SMG transmission goes into failsafe mode with Trans LightTo whom it may concern, I took my 2006 BMW M6 with 62,000 miles to Champion Auto Service because of the transmission light illuminated; the car transmission went on into failsafe mode with transmission light illuminated running; Gears did not selected, or changed. I recently took my car to Champion for very basic service. The work was done with no problem, although the car was not ready when they said it would be (I sat in the shop 1.5 hours waiting for it to be finished), the problems occurred afterwards. While cleaning the car 2 days later, I discovered the inside door panel had been damaged in several places, I'm assuming when the door was reassembled. I took the car back for replacement of the damaged panel and was told they would "fix" it, as a new panel was cost prohibitive.... They kept the car for 3 days and all efforts to fix it were unsuccessful.... It is still damaged and they will not even discuss putting a new one on. In addition, once again I was told the car was being worked on when in fact it was not.... I have been told they will "try" to find a used panel to replace the one they broke, but it is unlikely one can be found.... (I'm not holding my breath.) The attitude of management is dismissive, unprofessional, and they even went so far as to imply I had caused the damage.... The workmanship I observed on my vehicle was shoddy and hurried, and I believe a direct result of "rushing' because of poor shop management..... I will never take my vehicle back, and only wish I had read more reviews before choosing Champion for service.I recently took my car to Champion for very basic service. After doing some work myself on my 2004 Audi A4, I had an issue with what I thought was one of the vacuum hoses causing misfires. Knowing that my general knowledge of automobile repair was lacking, I took my car to Champion and spoke with Larry Bates and asked him to take a look at the hose and provide me with a quote for the repair work. Unfortunately with it being the New Years holiday, the service technicians were unable to look at my car due to store closings but upon their return from the holiday, they got to work on it promptly. The crew at Champion did the diagnostic tests and found that there were several hoses that had become damaged due to oil residue buildup, and general aging of the automobile. Additionally, the technicians diagnosed that I had a battery issue and two ignition coils that were failing. The quote that I received was a fair quote given the parts that were required to be installed. Larry allowed me to purchase my own battery and included the installation in the price of the repairs that I was already having done. Additionally, he gave me a phenomenal deal on the replacement of the two coils. The technician who worked on my car (unfortunately I did not get his name) was very knowledgeable and my car left driving better than it has in years. I highly recommend Champion Auto Service for auto repair. Two years ago, when I first moved to the Killeen area, I took my car into another shop in the area and I honestly believe that I was taken for a ride when it came to the price of the repairs. Champion is such a busy repair shop but they do good work and won't try to take your money unnecessarily. After doing some work myself on my 2004 Audi A4, I had an issue with what I thought was one of the vacuum hoses causing misfires. Champion Auto are nothing short of thieves. To Ricky, I went to see a lawyer about this company and I was told it would cost me more in legal fees than the amount i was conned out of. I am the wife of a deployed soldier and this company saw me comming. I took my Mini to Champion because my battery kept going dead. My radio was also sporadically going on and off. They replaced the battery but that didnt help. They said the new battery was faulty but they couldnt replace it because they couldnt find THEIR receipt from the company they bought my battery from. I asked to see the manager. I was told in a very rude mannor that i couldnt see him because the "manager was out of town". After much complaining they agreed to replace my new battery. I should have known then to not go back but i desperately needed my car. After another dead replacement battery they kept my car for 6 weeks and told me it was the alternator. They charged me $3500 in total and would not give me my old alternator. I went home and the following day my battery was dead again. I went back to Champion and they told me they didnt know what the problem was and to take my car somewhere else. Off to the mini dealership in Austin i went. The guys at Mini were great. I told then my story and they gave me a loaner car to use while they investigated my car. The first thing they checked was my sound system seeing as my radio would go on and off and they found my amp had a short and was causing all my problems. It was constantly draining power from my battery. Total cost of repair at Mini Dealership = $110. They checked my car from top to bottom. There was nothing else wrong with my car. They also told me my alternator had NOT been replaced. Thank you Mini service dept, I will never stray from you again. Hope you enjoyed the donuts!! Until i read these reviews i was thinking that Champion just prey on spouses of deployed soldiers who have few options. It seems they are willingChampion Auto are nothing short of thieves.
