My TL recently started having transmission problems, hanging up and slipping.  Acura had a few issues with 2006 transmissions but based on my mileage the manufacture wouldn't honor any historical issues.  The price of a transmission for an Acura would make you think it was a Mercedes!  Transmission Headquarters was 40% less than the dealership and guaranteed the work.  They got me the car back in about 3 days.  It would have taken me that long to get the car to the dealer.
