Bought a 2000 Honda a couple of weeks ago for my son.The horn didn’t work and no emissions sticker was on the car.I spoke with the owner who gave me some bullshit answer and then the check engine light came on.I took the car to a mechanic who said it’s not safe to drive (the brake line is ready to fall off and everything is rustedNow I can’t get in touch with the asshole owner, it’s wrong but I hope you have nothing but sadness and misery you are trash.

Purchase of Vehicle/Warranty Repai

Vehicle purchased on 5/14/14 with a 30 day warranty on the engine and transmission. Approx. two weeks after purchase (under 100 miles driven) Check Engine light came on. RPM's were spiking and car broke down/turned off. Had car towed back to the lot on the evening of 6/2/14. Left messages via text and voice the following morning (6/3/14). Got a call back from Rick same day asking where I left it. I directed him to where it was parked. I called the following day (6/4/14) and left a message. I did not hear back. I again called on Thursday (6/5/14) and was told that they were waiting on a part and that it should be done Friday. On Friday (6/6/14) I did not hear anything so I called. I was told the same thing as the previous day, that they were waiting on a part. I asked if the car would be done that day and Rick told me 'I certainly hope so'. I did not hear anything the rest of the afternoon/evening. I texted Rick today, Saturday (6/7/14), at approximately 12:30pm. I have not yet received a reply. I will be calling this afternoon. So far, since Tuesday, I have not been told what is wrong with my vehicle. If I do not hear back today, I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau. I am on my 5th day without a car and am losing money every day. For the time being, I am rating this dealership with just one star. This is due to the lack of information and the lack of flow of information from the dealer to myself. Once I receive my vehicle back, I will update this review, but as for now I am highly dissatisfied with Melrose Motors.

i have recently purchased a car from these folks at melrose motors, the car is beautiful, very clean for the year that it is, runs very well, the car was purchased for my wife. so,,, we live in hammonton,nj. we picked car up on thursday, while driving car home,  check engine light  came on and we lost heat, fine , no problem i just get it home and put a new thermostat in, as i am a mechanic and can do these things, well, that didnt work, so i proceeded to call the gentlman i purchased car from and tell him what had happened, he said fine bring it back up and hed take care of it. that was fine , but as all of us do, i had to go to work next day considering i took the day off to get the car. so my wife called next day prior to us leaving to take car back and we got no answer, she left message, we never received call back. now its saturday and wife needs car as she was in accident with previous car and now is not drivable.so i, not having any time lately to work on car, take it to my mechanic to simply go over water system thinking there was air in system, he has done it very thouroughly and still light is on, and feels it is head gasket, but is still trying to rule that out. meanwhile i have finally spoke to person that we did purchase with about the issues, he gets kinda shitty with me over phone, no big deal! i have my ways of making good!
point im trying to make is, i sell,buy,trade cars all my life, 30 plus years now, if i sold someone a car and advertised it as cream puff, nothing wrong with car, and within 5hrs of purchase something goes wrong with it, bring it back to me and i honor my words without issue! not what i got in return this incident!!!! so at this point im out 3,000.00, my wife very upset, and now im broke and burnt! and wife dont have car. BE CAREFUL WHO YOU BUY FROM!
