About 180 miles into our trip our alternator burnt out. Because I thought the issue was a faulty battery, I called AAA for a battery service. The tech determined the alternator was the issue. She could not recommend a nearby mechanic and said we'd be hard pressed to get service given the New Years holiday. Not being from the Carlisle, PA area, we decided to conduct a Google search and found T&M Automotive was about a 1/2 mile away. Turns out they are a AAA approved shop. Go figure why the AAA tech didn't know them! We spoke with Henrik who agreed to help us out. They were amazing!!! Henrik was able to get the required part, had his tech install it, test drove it and got us back on the road 3 hours later. The price was very reasonable and the service was excellent. They could have easily charged us more and we would have had to pay it given our situation. If you live in the Carlisle area, I highly recommend you use T&M Automotive for your car care. I had been having a check engine light issue and had been to two other repair facilities without any success. Susquehanna Valley Fleet & Auto was able to figure out the issue and repair it at a fair price.
