Folks, please avoid York Tire & Auto. Being new to the area, I made the mistake of taking my car here to get inspected since they had the quickest availability. If I had bothered to look at the reviews (Google and Yelp) more carefully I would have kept looking and gone elsewhere. That was my first mistake. $50 to replace one wiper blade (they wouldn't let me do it myself), $90 to replace my license plate bulbs ($7.50 for a pack of two at Autozone, two screws each to get to the bulbs). They wanted $900 to do my rear brakes (they said shoes and drums and wheel cylinders needed to be replaced), but after calling around to other shops in town every other estimate was $400-600 worst case scenario. They also said I needed all new tires since I made the second mistake of telling them the car had just been sitting for an extended period of time. But when I took the car to a tire place last week I was told my tires looked almost new (they were, they were purchased just prior to the last inspection) and didn't need replacing, and that any flat spots in my tires from them sitting had likely worked themselves out after driving on them more. I ended up taking the car to another local shop (with no bad reviews) who changed the brakes and drums for $400 total. They also verified the tires were in good shape and that the rear wheel cylinders were fine. Bottom line, York Tire & Auto wanted over $1700 to pass the safety inspection, even though the car had largely been sitting and was even exempt for the emissions inspection since it had less than 5000 miles since last inspection. They flat out wanted to rob me. An honest shop would have said, "Hey we can't pass your inspection because the tires have flat spots from sitting, but if you drive on them more they will likely even out." With so many auto shops in this area there's no reason to take your car to a place like this where they will look for every opportunity to upsell you on things you likely won't need. Buyer beware.

Very piss poor service. Installed new tires on my 2017 vw gli. Car did not pass inspection telling me it scraps. The car does have coil Overs but no where near the lowest it can go. I have a dip in my driveway and it scraps some in the back and no where in the front. Do I drive backwards hmmm. Very piss poor decision. On the mechanic being I back out my driveway. I feel it was more of a power trip: I was a service advisor for a local ford dealer in there area for 10 years and have saw way worse and this mechanic wants to fail me because the back of the car scarps a little bit. Sorry I have a deep hump at the end of my driveway. Maybe they need to reevaluate the mechanics they have because if they wanna nit pick things like that that’s how they make their money by ripping off people. And kind u the car was not low enough to get on the lift. Again do I drive backwards. I guess my steering wheel is in the back seat. No where does it scarp in the front…. I again feel bad decision and piss poor service other then Emily the service advisor

Was able to get in same day. Very friendly staff. Went to Ranglin’s after calling around and being told I would have to wait at least a week to get my car in. Got a appointment next day and was able to get I pick up car using there after hours lock box. Also price was very reasonable. Will definitely be coming back for my future car service needs.

Was looking for somewhere to mount some tires for my BMW 20 inch rims. Other spots didn’t even want to touch it, but that’s when I came across Ranglin’s. Professional and quick service, they handled the rims properly and with care. Will go back for future car needs. A++ rating

From the time I entered the front door, all employees were extremely helpful. I mean from the front desk people, to the supervisor and especially my mechanic Jim. I referred a coworker of mine to the shop and he was extremely happy as well!! I will continue referring clients to them.

Very, very pleased. Great quality work. No pressure tactics. Straight shooters. YOU are apprised of the situation and YOU decide what to do. I will never shop around for front end shops again. And I truly believe that their front end expertise carries over to their other offerings. Call them, talk to them, and work with them. You will not be disappointed. BONUS - They answer their phones! With a human!!!

As a single woman, I have been looking and hoping for a car place that treated me fairly. From the moment I walked in the door, I felt comfortable. I have to say, I trust the work they do. I have nothing but good things to say about this company. They stood up for doing work on my truck that needed to be done, but the insurance company wanted to just squeak by with doing half-ass work, so they wouldn't have to put out as much for the job. They didn't stand for it, and said, "No,", we are not doing this kind of work on this truck, it needs to be done correctly. And it was done! Thank you guys for the great service. James B.
