From I-81, I searched for a comprehensive shop that had some good reviews that could handle drivetrain and tires. Hats off to Randy, Brian, and the stellar mechanic whose name I didn't catch. I came in out of nowhere at 4:30 on a Monday afternoon and dropped this thing in their lap. While they weren't able to reweld the sway bar link, they were able to tighten up my track bar and get me the tire I needed that was a thumbtack away from exploding. Thing looked like the Hindenburg "before" picture. They were courteous and quick, professional and informed, and above all, did what they needed to do for the right price. I was very, very grateful for the expertise of the mechanic on duty, and Randy and Brian, if you read this, gold star for that guy. He knew his stuff and my ride home was awesome after the fix. The shop is easy to find, clean, substantive, and you can even see straight onto the shop floor from inside, giving you a clear, transparent view of what's going on with your vehicle. Tire selection was very good, prices were totally fair, and heck, free wifi to boot. I went a bit out of my way, bypassing a few "mom and pop" shops on the way, thinking, I've got a feeling about this place, and I'm glad I did. If you're in the need of a shop and you're anywhere nearby, it's worth the drive down 61 to patronize Jack Williams in Shamokin.

I had been having a check engine light issue and had been to two other repair facilities without any success. Susquehanna Valley Fleet & Auto was able to figure out the issue and repair it at a fair price.

  • I purchased a Double Take Deal for inspection, emissions, and tire rot... read more I purchased a Double Take Deal for inspection, emissions, and tire rotation for $19.95. While they were very friendly, what the mechanic told me turned out to be not quite true. He said that in order to pass inspection, I needed a tie rod along with alignment, 2 new tires and a headlight bucket. All together the estimate came to over $400 which didn't even include the tires. They did not rotate my tires because he said it didn't matter due to needing new tires. I eventually brought my car to a different garage and was told that I will eventually need a tie rod, but not for about 6 months and it wasn't so bad that it would cause me to fail inspection. The headlight bucket did not need to be replaced with a brand new one (over $150 quoted by SVFA) as the new garage was able to fix it for about $20. I believe that since I purchased a discounted service, they needed to make their money back by telling me I needed repairs that I didn't actually need to pass inspection at that time. They boast about "Honesty & Integrity" but I would stay away from that place unless you want to be handed an estimate for hundreds of dollars worth of work that you may not actually need.
