I took my car to Meineke (for the first time) a few months ago for a state inspection and an oil change and left it there while I was at work. A few hours later I relieved a call from a woman saying that my car was in need of $900.00 worth of repairs on top of the cost of the inspection and oil change and how would I like to pay for it? Like I could just whip out $900.00 on the spot! I have a 2010 Nissan Rouge so that just didn't make any sense. The car was running great and I always take it in for routine maintenance.  I asked if it would pass inspection without all the repairs and she said yes but just barely.  She said my back tires really needed to be replaced.  I told her that I didn't want any extra work to be done just the inspection and oil change.  She stuck to her position but said fine.  Now three months later I took my car to the dealership for my regular routine maintenance and mentioned that a few months back I was told the tires probably needed to be replaced.  They called me to tell me they had no idea what I was talking about because the tires are fine in fact they are at 50% now and would have been even better a few months back!

Stay away from those guys, they are total RIPPOFF! Dropped my car there for an inspection and 2 hours later i was told that my car needs this, that, and a lot more! Then i went to 2 independent auto shops, and got their opinion on what i need to do, the answer from both of them was - NOTHING!!! I guess, this particular Meineke shop needs to ripp their customers off just so they can pay that high rent on a Main Line, but not for nothing - making up the problems so they can benefit from it? Horrible, dishonest mechanics - shame on you!
