So we settled on $8500... Estimated $700 damage in plastics, $300 in gas. I offered you $7500. Rob, you told me over the phone this bike is in mint condition. And I worked Friday night up here in KC. Drove down there to buy this bike, you even said you knew nothing of it and only offered a $300 price break on it. Enjoy the bad reviews. They are all over the web. As far as clean and the hole.... If a black chain that should be gold and grease flung on the wheels is considered clean... Hell, I guess, just froze over. There is a hole rub in the plastics as well where it has rubbed through. I see you lying on here just as you were on the phone. I wish I took some pictures to post on here to prove to your loyal customers how dishonest you really are. I will admit though... your parts people were very nice.So we settled on $8500... Estimated $700 damage in plastics, $300 in gas. I offered you $7500. In response to Robert's post regarding his experience with Lawton Motorsports: We were sorry that his drive was as long as it was. He had agreed to purchase the 2009 Hayabusa for a price that was $1900 under book value, and he was well aware of that. The photograph on the store's web site clearly shows the rash on the lower right panel (but I was unaware of it until he pointed it out). There is no nickel sized hole in it. Robert's friend announced that the bodywork is worth $500, and Robert then offered a price that was $1500 below what was agreed upon previously, which I politely refused. I was with a customer who was paying and signing for a unit that he had purchased, and excused myself to see what I might do to appease Robert. My refusal to accept the offer that was $3400 under retail book on an otherwise clean and well maintained motorcycle with lots of extras didn't set well, so the customer and his friend decided to leave. The unit was USED, however the bike was clean, BTW. The incident was unfortunate, and although we do what we can to make all of our customers happy, that is not always possible. We regret that the gentleman from Wichita wasn't happy when he left, but we couldn't lose money to make that happen. . Rob walked out there, seen the damage and then came back inside to talk a new price based on that. Figured there is $700 worth of plastics needing replaced and I spent shy of $300 in gas going down there so I requested a $1000 off the agreed price we previously set. He would only knock $300 off. I told him I wasn't interested and thanked him for wasting a 7-hour one way drive down there. He insisted he knew nothing of the damage and thought it was done by one of his own mechanics. I would expect this from a private seller but not a dealer. They obviously don't mind selling people damaged/ scratched up bikes. The mechanic/Rob both agreed that happens when you lower a bike and corner it too hard. But the front end was still stock height so I highly doubt the damage was from taking a corner too hard. It was probably more from a newbie rider cutting a corner and hitting the curb with the plastics. I would give them 0 out of 5 stars if I was able to... Absolute horrible experience and waste of time and gas. Didn't even offer to reimburse me for my expenses due to their error. Long story short... 14.5 hours of driving, $280 gas, and nothing in return. Obviously they don't care too much as the bike was lost when I showed up, it was dirty, and then the damage on the lower right topped it off. Congrats Rob... you set an all time low standard that will travel around and I will make sure everyone hears about.. Called them from Kansas City about a Hayabusa they had for sale two weeks prior to going down there to buy it. Negotiated a good price for the bike a week prior to going down there. I didn't want to put a deposit down on it without seeing it. So I called Friday afternoon (2/24/2012) to make sure the bike was still for sale. I talked to Robert. Guessing he was the shop manager. Told him I would be down there 9am to pick up the bike that he described as "Excellent, Like new condition" and to have it cleaned up ready to go when I got there. So Saturday morning (2/25/2012) I got up extra early and head down that way. I stopped in Wichita to pick up a buddy of mine who is also a fellow busa owner to go down and buy it with me. We show up shortly after they opened (9am). I walk in the door and am greeted by Rob. Told him who I was and he started looking around for the bike. Finally he asked a mechanic and after about 5 minutes the mechanic found it in the back of the shop and brought it out. Rob was busy with either a friend or a good customer in his office so I went out and looked at the bike without him. At first I was disappointed that they didn't take the time to clean it up at all. The bike paint was dirty, there was grease all over the silver wheels, and the chain was all greased over and black. I got down on my knees on the right side to look inside the lower plastics and noticed a long rash mark about 16" long and about 3-4" tall where it looked like someone turned too close to a curb and rubbed it. It rubbed a nickel sized hole through the lower plastics and obviously was solid black instead of the silver paint. I told the mechanic to pull it back in the shop as I was done looking at it and was no longer interested in purchasing it in that condition. The mechanic informed Rob of my decision and came out of his office to talk to me. I explained that I was under the impression this bike was in exceptional condition and told him to go look at the lower right sideCalled them from Kansas City about a Hayabusa they had for sale two weeks prior to going down there to buy it.
