Once they received the truck I called them to see if they looked at the truck and the gentle men told me it would be $85 to check the truck. I told them okay, go ahead with the service. The next day my husband called and they told me we had a bad battery (we had just purchased a new battery two days prior to getting the truck towed) and in order to do any type of service we would have to pay $800 dollar. After hearing them tell us we need to provide them with $800 to do any type of service we wanted to know what types of service they was going to perform. The next day we went to the shop and the lady at the desk called one of the mechanics upfront to explain to us what service he was going to perform and he couldn't tell us anything other then we needed to give them $800 before they could do anything. Meanwhile we took the bad battery back to the shop and the man informed us that the battery was fine, not sure who to believe we received a second opinion. And the outcome was the same GOOD BATTERY. At this point we had to find someone else to look at our truck and was charged a $41 storage fee by Charlie's and then our truck got towed to the wrong shop. I WOULD NOT GIVE THIS PLACE ANY STARS but you have to for the review. I'm writing this review just for people to BEWARE!

When I called the mechanic that I talked to sounded very confident and professional on the phone so I decided to take it to them. BIGGEST mistake EVER!!! I dropped my vehicle off on a Tuesday and didn’t hear anything back from the mechanic until late Friday (Day 3) afternoon and this was AFTER I had called them at 9:00 AM to check on what was going on with it. I finally get a call back at 4:30 PM and give the authorization to make the repairs at which time I’m told that the parts won’t be in until Tuesday and depending on how ‘busy’ he is it would be Wednesday (Day 8) before he got around to making the repairs. I had a rental car until Monday that I had to extend an extra two days because of this. When I called on Wednesday afternoon (4:00 PM) to find out what was going on because I still hadn’t heard a word from them I was told that ‘the parts still aren’t in’ and it would be another day causing me to have to extend my rental car for yet another day. After waiting all day again on Thursday (Day 9) I call them yet AGAIN to ask about the status at which time I’m told that the mechanic had left and they would call me back after they talked to him. Big surprise, no phone call from them. So now it’s time to get my husband involved. He calls at 8:00 AM Friday (Day 10) and talks to the mechanic who informs him that the parts STILL haven’t arrived but has absolutely NO explanation why I haven’t been contacted about what’s going and kept in the loop but rather left sitting in the dark and wondering what was going on. My husband had to ask the mechanic to use some common sense and call the place they were getting the parts from to find out where the parts were. After three hours he finally gets a call back that the parts are apparently ‘lost in the mail’ and they’re sending another set out but of course they won’t arrive until at least the beginning of the week, hopefully Monday (Day 13). They finally offered a loaner for the weekend after my husband called them for about the fifth time over all of this and of course they acted like they were doing US a favor by arranging to loan us a POS minivan for a few days. When I picked it up just before closing on Friday (Day 10) I was told that the parts had conveniently just arrived 15 minutes before I got there and that my van would be done ‘first thing’ Monday (Day 13) morning. Since I hadn’t heard anything from them (not surprising) by noon on Monday (Day 13) I stopped by and go figure, my van, that was supposed to be ready ‘first thing’ that morning, STILL isn’t done. The woman in the front office practically pushed me out the door for me to go home and wait for it to be finished. Of course they don’t want an upset customer sitting in the waiting area for other customers to see and possibly talk to. I FINALLY received the call that my van was ready Monday AFTERNOON, at which time I was also informed that they had done an unnecessary and UNAUTHORIZED repair and was being charged for it on top of that. As soon as I pulled out of their lot I realized that the alignment that was supposed to be done and that I was also charged for was not done correctly as my van pulls to the right constantly now. I ended up being two WEEKS without a vehicle, out $200 for a rental for a week, and out over $100 for repairs that shouldn’t have been done or weren’t done correctly plus the cost have having the alignment done right. Please, do yourself a favor and save yourself a lot of frustration by taking your vehicle ANYWHERE other than Dick Lumpkin’s. They claim that their customers are #1 but that is complete baloney!!!!! They don’t care about their customers one bit and that shows by the complete lack of basic customer service.
