Pat uses customer cars as his personal cars while in for service. They charged me for a alignment and the alignment wasn't done. They also took it to a alignment shop without my permission. When they installed plastic TGV deletes they connected a ground wire to them. Pat couldn't figure out how to connect his laptop to my car and disable the TGVs, I did this myself after reading how to do it on the Internet. They also built a cage for a customer and ruined the customers car. Everyone should stay away from this shop or anything related to what Pat Smith does.

From the initial drop off, through the pick up of my car 11 hours later, the manager was arrogant and disrespectful. I did get lost trying to find the location, and dropped my car off 20 minutes late, but then was told it would be done at 2 or 3 PM. At 1:30, I called and was told that the car was just being taken in and that it would be done at 4 or 5 PM. Upon arriving at 5, I was told that the car had just been started. At 9:00 PM that night, I was leaving the lot. At no time during that day, did I receive a call from Big Papas saying that the installation had been delayed, no apology was ever offered (other than by the poor installation guy who had to face me and my angry boyfriend after a long wasted day). Absolutely no regard was given to the fact that I had to miss a medical treatment scheduled at 3, that had been mentioned at the time of my initial drop off. What I did receive was a lack of the basic common courtesy that any consumer should receive after making a purchase of services and equipment. The manager / owner was present at the shop until closing at 5 when we did arrive expecting the work to be done, but did not offer any explanation or justification for the repeated lies that I was told regarding the time my car was actually started. He stood outside and allowed another young employee to take the heat for our disappointment without presenting himself. Upon completion, 4 hours later, only the installer and another employee were present. They were apologetic and could only offer the explanation that the work had been “overbooked”. I would never recommend Big Papas.

I had to get new tires, shocks, struts, brakes and all my normal routine maintenance. they are very reasonable people to work with and the prices are great, one of the most reasonable garages in town. I would recommend these people to anybody. I'm not sure if the lady that gave a bad review is completely competent because this is truly one of the best garages in town with the quality of service they perform and the prices of the services. I know for a fact that they give you a 6 month warranty on engine repairs after that its on your part just like with everything else you buy, in 14 months there is no telling what all you as the driver has done to your vehicle. My question is have you done normal routine maintenance to help keep the car running. what kind of engine did you buy new or used? If it is a new one then they usually have a even better warranty on them, if you bought a used engine well then thats a chance on you are taking on your part.
