I came in for a quick oil change, they did it wrong, and I had to call the police over to get my car back. My experience: - They advertise an $19.95 Oil Change Special for 4 cylinder cars. - They demanded $35 after the service and claimed that the Oil Change Special does not include the oil filter, and that they topped off my washer and brake fluids. - I said I could pay them the $20, like they advertise. - They refused, and would not release my car. - I called the non-emergency police line to have the cops provide an objective view on our disagreement. - The owner agreed to honor his advertised price once the police talked to him. I go the car back and found out: 1) They lied. They never topped of any fluids, for which they tried to charge me. 2) They put in the wrong oil. My car is specified for 5W-20. They used 10W-30 If they cannot even do a simple oil change right, then I have no confidence in their ability to do anything more complicated.
Car mechanic crashed my car. Extensive damage to the passenger door of... read more Car mechanic crashed my car. Extensive damage to the passenger door of the minivan. Refused to take responsibility. Claims that he fixed the car in the parking lot, without moving it. When I came to pick the car up, it was parked the other way from how I left it the day before, so that it is more difficult to notice the damage. It is obvious that they moved the car while it was in the shop. The minivan was parked in front of security camera. I asked if they can provide security camera footage to substantiate an uninsured motorist claim that carries no deductible. The shop manager promised to find the footage. I called for about a week to check whether they found something. They said that they were too busy with other customers but will definitely do tomorrow. After a week the footage expired and was destroyed by camera's software. Crashing your customer's car and refusing to take responsibility is bad. But why refuse the customer the opportunity to file free insurance claim and allow damage repaired at no cost to you or the customer?

I can 110% say Transmission Man took care of me like GOLD! They were more then professional, had a great staff and were very reasonable on pricing. I was quoted a time frame for my car and it was done hours before the estimated and to top it off someone was able to drive my car to me with no issues. I will recommend this company a thousand times over. Thank You transmission man you have my business for as long as I am driving. Thanks
