I then called Rio Rancho imports and asked the gentleman if they had the tools to work on my vehicle. I told him what happened at the other shop. I was told yes they do have the tools needed to work on my vehicle. We made an appointment and took our vehicle in to Rio Rancho Imports. While our vehicle was there, an employee called to let us know what was wrong with the vehicle and also said they don't have the tools to work on it. When picking up the vehicle, I explained again, that the only reason why we took the vehicle to them was because I was told they had the tools to work on it. The gentleman apologized but still charged us a diagnostic fee. The owner sent my husband a text asking how the service went. I replied telling him what happened. He apologized and took no further action. We then took the vehicle to a 3rd repair shop, Independent Volvo Services. They were able to repair the vehicle without any special tools. They said some of the volvo models need a special tool but ours did not. My husband called the owner at Rio Rancho imports. He again apologized but did not refund our diagnostic fee.

My Front Rhino Grille was damaged and they denied they did the damage. My Rhino grille is close to $1000.00 in price and it was damaged on the lower step bar. It looks like a 2x4 board was used on top of a jack prior to lifting causing significant damage. I called and told them of the damage and they denied it. I am totally dissatisfied with them not admitting their damage to my grille. I will never recommend them to anyone. John Casias

My catalytic converter was stolen and I brought it to Midas to get fixed. When my Dad called for a quote, the Manager Jerome said it would be $1,200. When we got there, that had changed and he said it would be a total of $2,681.75 ($2,299.99 for the part) After speaking to my insurance, they said it would only be a $1,300 job which they got quoted from Toyota. Jerome said this part was from Toyota so why would I be charged $1,300 more?? My insurance agent reached out to Midas corporate and has not received an explanation as to why I was overcharged. I am writing this so other people are not taken advantage of like I was. I do not know how a major automotive repair company to let someone this incompentent manage one of their stores. I was ripped on in a time of need, please don't let it happen to you.
