The Mr. Tire location on Blowing Rock Road in Boone NC could not get the replacement TPMS to work on our original visit May 1, 2023 or when we returned the next day. We were promised a refund for the TPMS part that was installed, but we haven't got it yet. They also failed to return our wheel locks. We had to spend over $300 at our local mechanic when we got home to fix the problems. UPDATE: After some time, we did receive a refund for the TPMS part installed by Mr. Tire. After leaving this review, we were contacted by Mr. Tire's parent corporation, Monro, who said that they were sending us a refund for the wheel locks that were not returned to us and the work that our mechanic had to do to remove them. They refused to pay for the work our mechanic had to do to get the TPMS system working again when we returned home. He told us that Mr. Tire had not programmed the replacement TPMS that they installed to the correct frequency for our vehicle. We're not happy with this company's response to this issue.

We have bought a set of tires and had to have vehicle worked on. Both times we received great service. As a parent 5 hours away, it's great to know there are good businesses you can depend on.

My car had a fuel leak from fuel pressure regulator socket. Clark Tire told me the fuel rail was out of alignment and needs to be replaced. So I agreed the replacement of fuel rail. Two weeks later I found out the fuel rail was not replaced so I called the Clark Tire. They told me they replaced fuel pressure regulator instead. I've already told them the fuel pressure regulator was new and under warranty before when gave me the quote. They never informed me of what was actually done on my car until two weeks later I called. I consulted a GM certified machanic and it turned out all needs to be replaced was a 50 cents o-ring and 5 minutes labor. The manager offered to refund the part, but not labor or diagnosis. I seriously doubt if they even replaced anything but the o-ring. Then I went to the shop and the manager did admit they overchaged the part, but he said it's a standard practice to overchage the part by 30%-40% over OEM's price(GM retail price at dealership). Their excuse for not telling me about the actual work on the car was their technician thought fuel rail and fuel pressure regulator was the same thing. I asked them why they don't even check the manual and his answer was it didn't matter as long as the car was fixed.
