We are currently stationed in the area due to Military orders. We took our FORCE motor to Dave because it was suddenly stopping on water and wasn't pulling correctly. When he finally got around to look at it, he told us it was compression and that it was going to cost over $1,500 to fix. My husband and I took the boat home thinking he had replaced spark plugs, and fixed tilt. When we put it out on the water, we discovered that he had done NONE of these and instead just charged us $75 for a hour of work when he did nothing. Since then, we have taken out boat to 2 other shops and was told that the compression is just fine and there is no need for a new engine. Long story short, Dave is a scam and just wanted us to buy a new engine. We bought our boat as a fixer upper/ just to have fun and NOT to spends thousands on a new motor. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!
