Initially I went to Nationwide because my husband had his clutch repaired there and he had nothing but good things to say about the work there. I have a 2003 VW Jetta where the reverse had started slipping. I took it there for them to check it and the owner stated that it would be 2 hours before they'd get back to me. I must include that the car was dropped off at 8:30 am I called around noon with no update only for him to call my husband at 4:50 to advise something that we already knew was not the issue. I went to pick the car up and we tried again to have the transmission repaired. He apologized for the situation before and assured me that was not the way they handled business. He stated they would have to take the tranny apart to properly diagnose the issue. He did not include the vital info about not being able to put it back together with out rebuilding it or replacing it. Needless to say when he did let me know how much it was to fix it I hesistated and wanted to look around for a better price. Since then I called him back to see what his price would be and he was the most arrogant prick ever. He stated that he did not sell junk and was sure that all of the prices I had been given would be lower. Mind you I had been told several prices from all over not just Fayetteville. Completely unhelpful! I'm not sure if he was insulted by me asking him to compete for my business but I for one was disgusted in the way he came across. I only wanted to know if he could re-quote the price he had given me before because I had misplaced the paper he gave me, but from the convo we had a few months back the price I had been given by someone in Raleigh was only $100 cheaper. I live in Fayetteville so it would basically balance out since I would have to have the car towed anyways. I'm not sure what kind of customer service my husband was used to but I have been in customer service for over 10 years and that was a great example of what not to do and I for one will not pay someoneInitially I went to Nationwide because my husband had his clutch repaired there and he had nothing but good things to say about the work there.
