I spent around $3,500 which was $1900 cheaper than the dealership. HOWEVER, to my dismay after SEVEN ATTEMPTS they still could not get my transmission working properly. I was in constant contact with Joe the entire time, he agreed there was an issue that he couldn't quite fix but he would keep trying. He offers a 12-month guarantee, but no money back. Under the circumstances (seven attempts) I hoped, that he could make an exception to the rule. Joe still stated that there were no refunds, but if I like I could bring it back for the 8th time, he would be willing to TRY AGAIN... I hesitated to write this review, thinking we could have come to an agreement of sorts, or he could've taken our SUV to ANYWHERE to get to fixed properly and this incident was just a "hiccup". However, his refusal to correct the issue other than bringing it back for the 8th time -not to mention my family also being without a vehicle for around an entire week each time to get it "fixed" is UNACCEPTABLE. If you have a car, perhaps he does good work. When it comes to SUVs, just go to the dealership!!

After I got the bill it seemed higher than I expected. When I did some research I was charged 200% over retail price on all the parts used. I have never been charged such a high markup. Being a past business owner myself usually you would pass the wholesale cost savings onto the customer knowing the shop will make its money with shop time. On top of the parts I was charged for the shop time as well. I also just replaced the fluid pan with a nice aftermarket piece. The transmission looks like it was dragged accross the floor from one end of the shop to the other and then back. The pan had to be replaced since the transmission was being put into a show vehicle. I would recommend taking your work elsewhere. So far no issues with the transmission, but, only have around 20 miles since rebuild.

Oral estimate of $1200 increased to a final bill of $1820. Stay away from this one.
