I had taken my car for repair to a Burnsville AAMCO dealer and was told I needed a new transmission costing $1900 plus what they called “hard parts”. When I asked what hard parts were, I was told it could be an additional $300 for a torque converter and hardware which I approved. When I went to pick-up my car the repair bill was now $3360 or more than 40% what I was quoted! The dealer told me I was not called for the additional amount because a “new guy forgot to call me to approve the repair”. The dealer did give me a discount of $225 but this is still far from the original quote. I was also told the car needed a new catalytic converter, rear struts and was “running rough”. I paid the bill and left as fast as I could. I placed a claim with the MN State Attorney’s office but they can only request the AAMCO dealer to voluntarily respond unless other people have had similar experiences, so if that is you look into their web site. I have also sent my complaint to AAMCO national office with no response yet. If you have your car here, push it anywhere else!!!

His folks normally provide maintenance and information on the health of our vehicles, but when the fuel pump went out leaving us on the side of the road, they immediatly arranged a tow truck and got us going again in short order. Also, when the transmission went out on our other vehicle, they diagnosed the problem for free, and provided a couple options to get us back on the road. Jerrod and his folks are good to work with, and strive to be sure we are satisfied with the service we receive. Many Thanks!

I have been bringing all 3 of my vehicles to this AAMCO location for the last 5 or 6 years for everything from simple oil changes to a new engine for my suburban. I have always received outstanding service from Chris and his crew. No matter what the problem is, he sticks with it until the issue is resolved. The number one thing I look for in a mechanic is TRUST and I definitely have that with Chris.
