Called multiple times only to be told by Jeff they could not get to it. Was advised after the second day there I was next. After 15 days of back and forth we rented a car to see if possibly a Tech had been ill or something. But what we did know the shop could not service us to our expectations. After showing up Jeff the head mechanic finally agreed to give us an estimate that only repeated what we had said when we brought the car in i.e. the engine light and VSC light was on and there was dragging in 1 and 2nd gear. Cost $6500. Thank Goodness the car was still pretty drive able. It is not a hooptie. Got a 2nd opinion they researched it in 2 hours. repaired it, $402.

Dave the head mechanic is great. I was nervous about my engine light on and the car was dragging into 1st gear. I had been quoted $6500 because the car needed a transmission replacement. Fortunately my car was drive able and after looking at a number of reviews, I came across AAMCO Garrison Automotive. He carefully diagnosed the problem and fixed it. Cost $402. Be careful that you select the correct one. Their appears to be a few in the Warren Area. Dave the head mechanic is GREAT and my experience on several occasions he respects your time and doesn't take on your car until he can see you. He's our mechanic!

They use to be a family owned place and his son was a good honest kid who seemed to care very much about giving you good work at an honest price but unfortunately his son left this place years ago and his father Chris the owner hired a bunch of lazy guys who do shady work and service. They could care less about his business and the service they do. You rarely ever see Chris there anymore because either he’s on vacation or sitting back relaxing and just letting these guys do whatever they want. In February of 2019 my transmission went out on my 2002 Buick Rendezvous and they claimed they could do the work for $2000 and that there were no other problems to be seen on this vehicle. Well me like a fool decided to let them do the work and they promised a three year warranty. They ended up saying during the process of doing it that it was a special transmission and it was going to cost more which turned into $3300. I agreed like an idiot and I had the work done. Within a month later the head gasket blew on the vehicle which they quoted at $2800. I felt in too deep with this vehicle now and I had it done. Three months later the power steering rack went out on the vehicle. I then paid $1200. Throughout the months the vehicle kept overheating and they kept replacing hoses and charging me more and more money. It finally quit overheating and here we are a year later. All of a sudden the transmission starts messing up on me again. I took it back and they claimed it was the spark plugs and charge me an additional $330. Two days later the transmission breaks down completely. Chris called and he doesn’t even remember that he replaced my transmission. I had to have him check the receipts in his computer and then he says he’ll replace it for free. Two days later he calls and says it would cost me $900 to take it off to check it and that it’s most likely the outer box which would run me an additional $1800. He then has the nerve to say he would sell me his old Dodge Caravan for $1800 in case I was interested. I knew it was time to call it quits and I had it towed away. Altogether I paid this guy $10,798.62 and he couldn’t even remember the work he did for me or honor my supposed warranty. You’re nothing but a dollar sign to this man and he could care less about you as a customer! I know I’m a sucker but I beg you take your vehicle to any of the thousands of other auto shops in Michigan. This man is a con artist and he’ll take you for everything you have. Find somebody that is at least honest and fair. I know that sounds easier said than done but at least look further than this man! I hope my story helps your decision and thanks for reading!
