Refused to give me the VIR after my car failed inspection so I could see what needed to be repaired in order to pass. Mike stated to me that the state computers were down when I went in for the third time to pick up the VIR. I called the DMV right after leaving the shop and was informed that the computers were NOT down. They told me I needed to have certain things fixed before they could put a sticker on it, but found out after taking my car to another mechanic that they were trying to have parts replaced that didn't need replacing. They broke the knob that releases the hood and failed to tell me. I found out later that day when I took the car to another mechanic that it was missing. It had been there earlier that day because I'd had to have a new battery put in before I brought it to Autocare plus. I am filing a complaint with the DMV and with BBB. It seems, judging by a few of the reviews I've read, that I'm not the only one to have had this kind of bad experience with them. They advertise "honesty, reliability and good customer service" but they are everything BUT that!

Swedish Imports forgot to order/install gasket - allowing my trunk and electronics to become flooded upon the 1st exposure to bad rain. $2300 in repairs to Mercedes after the electronics short circuited and set the alarm horn blaring for hours, lights going on and off, etc. When confronted, the owner refused to acknowledge that his technician could make a mistake - even after he called Mercedes to confirm the gasket doesn't come with the tail light assembly. Worst customer service experience in years. Mike, the owner, is belligerent and thinks he and his staff are infallible. Although their website says Mercedes Service Center - only Mercedes Benz does Mercedes repairs.
Its so good to have my truck back and just in time for snow even thoug... read more Its so good to have my truck back and just in time for snow even though I had fun for the week renting the little Hyundai sports car I did miss my truck now that the transmission has been replaced it's good as new , instead of it whining like it was it's finally got it's growl back anyone who has a Hemi they know what I mean lol, I have to give a big shout-out to AAMCO Transmission & Car Care in Portland ME. Adam and his team did an amazing job not only were they very detailed and took pride in what they do but the customer service was beyond satisfactory they definitely have gain a loyal customer whenever I need any big jobs done or in dealing with the warranty or insurance I'll be calling Adam from AAMCO....Thank you guys big time....
