  • We have had several experiences with Spectrum on the insurance side of... read more We have had several experiences with Spectrum on the insurance side of things, meaning I am an appraiser so I can compare Spectrum to other shops in the area. They are by far the most expensive shop in the area. I do not mean expensive in terms of quality, but in terms of writing unnecessary repair estimates on vehicles. They usually write 40-50% higher estimates than other shops in the area. What customers do not realize is the higher the repair cost on the vehicle the lower the value of the vehicle will be in when they go to sell it. Their business practices are questionable at best. If Spectrum does not get exactly what they want on their estimate they will hold the car hostage until they receive full payment, even if some of the services they provide were not done. They also have a history of keeping the car longer than needed to complete the repairs. An average repair that would take 5 days usually results in a month because of multiple supplement requests and unwillingness to work fairly with the insurance company. We have also received many complaints on the quality of the repairs done and complaints about work not being completely done. As long as Glen Massie is running this shop I would STAY AWAY! Take it from the experts, you do not want to take your car here.

We had our back window of our van replaced while we were on vacation. We paid in advance since we could not be there when the work was done. When we returned home, we discovered that the back of the van was not shutting properly. We asked the company to come out and take a look as we had discovered part of the panel that was removed for repair had not been put back on properly. The owner of the company came to our home and was so rude and condescending that my husband asked him to leave. I am just appalled that the owner of a company would treat customers in this manner instead of working collaboratively on a solution that would have made both parties happy.
