Our nanny, who uses her car to drive our 2 and 4 yr old daughters around, was rear-ended by a person with Nationwide insurance and they referred her to this auto body shop (Ardmore is on their preferred auto repair shop list) for repairs to her car. When she got her car back she found empty beer bottles in her car, along with loose car parts in her trunk (nuts and bolts, etc). The door they were supposed to replace has a crack in it as well. This morning she took it to another Nationwide preferred auto repair shop and they confirmed that the entire repair job needed to be redone, that what they could see externally showed that where they were supposed to use an air gun to get the bolts back in, instead they put them in and hand tightened them. And that's just what they could see externally, along with the crack in the door they supposedly replaced. Which I guess is the quality you would expect from drunk repair men. We alerted Nationwide who is currently conducting a review of the situation (we recommended them being removed from their preferred list and not being paid for the "work" they did at the very least). We are also notifying the Better Business Bureau as well as writing reviews so as to alert possible future costumers. We have an attorney and police officer in our immediate family and are currently exploring options of having the bottles tested for prints/saliva to prove that they were not "already in the car" as the guys at the shop told her over the phone when she called about it. The manager at the shop, Anthony, has been extremely unhelpful and denied all wrong doing so clearly they have no plans to fire the idiots who worked on her car. It is unfortunate they do not understand the implications of a possible situation in which our daughters, or anyone else, would have been injured due to their negligence and the law suit that would follow.
