I also had a problem with a leaking roof seam that was creating a wet condition on the driver side electrical panel (2005 Freightliner Century). They talked to the dealership, told me that it was a common problem with this model and the fix was to seal the seam, which they did. Since then no more wet panel. I suspect that the guy that thinks he was ripped off doesn't know his truck, he thought it was a %500.oo fix, the dealer told him it was a $2,300.00 fix. Maybe in a perfect world, sounds like his truck wasn't living in that world.

I was shopping around and asked another shop specializing in German cars and he gave me the book hours. This was reasonably within limit of what the mechanic of German Auto stated. But when it was time for the bill, I find that the man hour billed was on the very high extreme of what the book hour stated. And when I asked him about this "pipe rerouting" that the mechanic told me was just lifting a series of pipe higher because it was scraping the concrete, he said he had "forgotten" that the mechanic had reduced the hour needed. Really? from 1.6 hrs to 1.0 hr to lift a few tubes a few inches higher? This is also not "rerouting" as he told me over the phone. The owner after I caught this, quickly told his secretary that he was going to take an early lunch. I can tell you that this is the LAST time anyone I know will be bringing a car to this shop. Its not because of the mechanic. He was actually the reason why I was fine w/ leaving my car there initially. The owner is untrustworthy, and if my car wasn't already worked when I started dealing w/ this owner, I would've switched shop immediately.

(More) My truck was brought in to repair a blown high pressure oil gasket. A $500.00 cost at max. The mechanic claimed it had a broken bolt that holds the pump on. He was suppose to drill it out and tap new threads to replace the bolt. After 3 days. Each day he says that the truck will be ready. After several calls the mechanic say the timing cover was damaged. The charge was 3754.00. If i didn't like it I could have the truck towed to another shop. At this time he had the whole motor out of the truck. In my opinion...... This guy damaged the timing cover while drilling out the bolts. I have been ripped off. I contacted A ford dealership. The ford dealer service manager said it would have cost $2,300.00 for the dealership to do the same replacement. In my opinion this shop is a rip off. I am writing this review to help other drivers and companies from being ripped off. Btw my driver just called and claimed the truck was running awful. I hope this helps stop this shop from hurting anyone else.
