After sitting there for 3 months they call me and tell me the motor is trashed. Starter and fuel pump do not work and the cylinders are scored up so bad I would have to have the motor completely rebuilt. The reason I know that is bull is because the morning before I dropped it off I went to my friends machine shop and did a compression test which you need to starter to work to do it. And the starter was fine, the compression was 110-115 psi for all 6 cylinders. We also did a leak down test and all cylinders held up fine. So there is no way the cylinders could noy have been that scarred up. And the starter worked fine. I brought the boat in to them in November and they did not take a look at it until February even though they told me they would have it checked out by 2 weeks. I was fine that it took time because this is a boat I use for summer time gulf fishing. I use a different one for winter hunting season. What got me the most is when they called me and told me the boat was ready I told them I would be out of town for a little over a week and decided to pay them over the phone so that I would not have an outstanding bill. I picked up the motor and while driving home I noticed that they actually charged me for 8 days storage at 10 bucks a day. They didn't care that they took 3 months to fix it but an outboard sitting there for a week that they have already been paid for a few days and they charged me storage fee's. I didn't feel real comfortable when I dropped the motor off and all the head mechanic did was try to sell me a new motor that someone bought and couldn't use. I should have just loaded the motor back up right then and found someone else to check it out. Will not ever use or recommend them to anyone. Even my worst enemy.
