I swiped my card at pump. I attempted 3 times. I did not get any notif... read more I swiped my card at pump. I attempted 3 times. I did not get any notification that my card was denied. I did not get fuel. I find out later my account has been debted $99. In the past the fee has been $30 at this gas station. Second, I have never been charged a fee when I did not get gas. I found out my card had been charged this fee an hour later when attempting to use my card somewhere else and I don't have the funds. In contacting the store I find they have no policy for handling customer refunds. The owner when I finially reach him the next day did not know that his own distributor/credit card processor sets the preauthorization fees saying that my bank set them. I let him know I had everything I needed in 2 hours to get my money refunded and all I needed was a fax from the store. This owner did nothing. In fact the person at the store when it occured reported she has had this happen previously this week and the store makes no effort to notify customers they maybe charged and not get gas. This is a Sinclair oil distributor and they process the credit/debt payments beware.
