I Went to Paul's trailer service to have a used trailer looked at so that I could be on the road with it and ask them to look at the brakes and the bearings. They called me and told me I had two and a half hours of work already done to the trailer with no repairs. They took off all four wheels to determine that they were all too rusty instead of just taking off one and determining that. But it was not worth being rebuilt or needed total rebuilding. The estimate was $2000 which was ridiculous because the other trailer company that called said a thousand. I asked how much money I had in this repair and he said two and a half hours and another two and a half hours to put the wheels back on so four and a half hours at $75 an hour. This guy likes business credibility. I would not take my trailer back there unless you have more money than you can count. In my opinion it is a terrible business KDC in Indianapolis quoted $1000 for the same repair.

I arrived at Paul’s Trailer Repair at 4pm and was immediately seen by the manager on Duty, Mark. I carried my axle back to the shop and set it down on a work bench. I was told that the axle could be done that same night. I said, “I’m not in a hurry, but I’ll come back tonight if you are saying that it will be ready?” I was told that it would be ready within 1 ½ hours of 6pm. Over the next 1 hour and 45 minutes, I visited with the rather nice mechanics working in the shop, because the manager left me standing in the shop with my broken axle sitting on a dirty bench while he answered the telephone and wrote up my incomplete service ticket. I say incomplete, because he changed the price of the service on me twice and then never even wrote a final price down. When I left at 5:45pm, I confirmed that I could come back at 9pm and the axle would be done. I was told that it wasn’t a problem. I arrived back at the shop at 8:50 and was told that nobody had even started on the axle and that it would take almost 2 hours to do the job. Of course, I was unhappy and said that I was just going to take my axle and go elsewhere. I absolutely had no attitude about it. At this point, the manager started with an attitude and I was told that the whole thing was my fault and that I should have called first and not assumed it would be ready (Why would a business keep their word?). Of course, they had my number and could have called me to tell me that it wouldn’t be ready tonight and I would have happily waited (because I wasn’t in a hurry), but I didn’t want to drive there extra times. Anyhow, I was told that it was my fault and that I was being a jerk. When I picked up my axle, the manager stepped in my way and demanded, “You are NOT going out the front door.” I said, “I don’t know who you think you are a$$h0L&.” (yes, now I had an attitude) and walked out the shop door in the back with the manager yelling behind me, “You are the a$$h0L
