5 starI was fortunate to spend Spring Break at Disney with my 3 boys a... read more 5 starI was fortunate to spend Spring Break at Disney with my 3 boys along with my dad and Diane. Got to see fellow Kankakee County people there as the Marching Boilers marched in a parade at the Magic Kingdom and had a super great time. On our way back, apparently due to shotty work done during an oil change here, my mini van had some problems and my boys and I were stuck in Mt Vernon Illinois yesterday not sure we would make it home today or even by Monday. I was given a name, David Parker, owner of Parker Automotive, in Woodlawn IL just west of Mt Vernon on HWY 15. He made sure our van was brought out to him and stayed late on Good Friday to let me know what was wrong. Luckily it is nothing major, just something that occurred during my oil change here. David showed the true meaning of Easter. This morning looking at being stuck in a hotel room til Monday, he lent me a car to drive us back so we can be home for Easter. Wow! Amazing customer service and very fair prices. My boyfriend and I... read more Wow! Amazing customer service and very fair prices. My boyfriend and I were driving down to southern IL for a camping weekend and our car broke down on the interstate two hours into the trip! We were able to make it to Parker Automotive where we were met with friendly faces. They looked my car over, explained everything in detail and took me out to the car to show me exactly what was wrong! We were given excellent service and would recommend this shop to anyone! I went to affenburg collision center on N 51, the staff was kind. Howe... read more I went to affenburg collision center on N 51, the staff was kind. However when I returned my rental and went to pick up my car which I had been told was done, it had still not been detailed (which I had payed to have done) I was very upset by this as I had has a rental free and would not of cared if the car was kept a few more days to get done, but instead I had to go back and waste my time waiting in their shop for hours when the finally finish what I payed for. I was displeased, when I spoke to the manager about it he did not seem to care that my time had been so wasted and was unwilling to answer my simple (and politely put) question of why was I not asked ahead of time if this was ok. He continued to be rude. I would not go here not good when companies are rude about their mistake.
