After being told that he was going to charge me "150-$175 to do this seemingly minor job to hook up FOUR wires on my truck I set up an appointment 4 days in advance and went there. The day took my truck to him I took the time to solder longer leads onto the short Tekonsha harness, because the directions clearly stated to use 12 gauge wires for it and to "HOOK UP THE BLACK AND WHITE WIRES DIRECTLY TO THE BATTERY", and I didn't want any crappy "crimp-on" terminals used on my truck. No joke - after screwing around for over two HOURS under the dash I asked him if he had run the wires through the firewall yet and ye told me he "found a place under the dash to hook them up"!!!! UNDER THE DASH - A 30 AMP CIRCUIT?? So then he set out to run the ONE blue wire to that back of the truck and after (seriously) ANOTHER 2 hours and over 30 minutes he finally got done with the 90 minute job. Regretfully this new controller didn't fix the problem with my trailer's brakes and I do NOT hold him responsible for that, BUT now I have to take it to yet ANOTHER shop to fix his moron employee's screw up of hooking up a 30 amp circuit under my truck's dash, so I'll have a total of $300 into this 4-wire wiring job!!!!!

Either that or their technician is not properly trained enough to assess the existing damages. I would never in my life recommend these people to anyone for a used vehicle. They sell you vehicles claiming to 'need nothing' with 'perfect autochecks', ship them out to you for you to find they need new MAIN seals, clutches, and tires. My $1000+ mechanic bill would suggest it needed more than 'nothing'. What did they do when I informed them about these pre-existing damages? Imagine a parrot that knee-jerkingly vomits out "Nope. The car was perfect. Squaawwwk. Nope. The car was perfect". The instant I mentioned repairs this guy(John) hit flipmode on me and the ol' 'aw shucks', family owned and operated bit went out the flippin' window. I tried to reason with them and even gave them a heads up that I would be posting many horrible reviews and they just didn't care. Believe it. Super classy, right? Quick credibility check, for what it's worth. I'm a 35 year old man who has been driving as his job for the last 2 decades. I'm the most skilled driver at my place of employment. I've owned 30 vehicles in my life. Cars, trucks, motorcycles, V8s, 4 bangers, autos, manuals, low riders, lifted trucks, you name it. My other car is a Toyota with about 204,000 miles on it. It's a manual. Bought it new and have babied it ever since. 15 years ago I scored a perfect on the test to get into the military(3 out of every 1500 people do that). Which sounds more likely to you - the person I just described grinding, burning, and chewing up that clutch(see pictures), busting the main seal, and magically dry rotting 3 tires around the entire circumference..... or maybe this small time used car dealership just isn't very honest and hasn't realized the power of social media yet? I've been going to my mechanic for 8 years. It's the type of place you would expect the person I described above to take their vehicle. They've given me my vehicle back and said there is nothing wrong with it and that I was imagining it. They've given it back to me and told me the fix was a $10 gas cap. Family owned and operated, stack of testimonials the size of a phone book in the lobby, the owner and his wife behind the counter, etc. His wife has shuttled me to and from my house several times. It's that kind of place. It's called Accurate Automotive in Mesa, AZ. Check them out, they know everything. Ask about Steve and the white mustang that got shipped here. Ask me too, anything you like. Message me on here, call me, ask to see my paperwork, more pics, call my work, anything you like to ensure you make the right car buying decision. I'm going to extract this money from your pocket one way or another, John and Bill at Golden Auto Sales, whether it be by you cutting me a check for something that's fair, or lost revenue from potential car buyers(think about what one set of eyeballs on this review does to your pocket). More later!

Took it in and mechanic said needed new struts and bushing. Ok, bought it cause guy dropped it down $500 - basically the cost of the repair. So as I am driving home with the car it starts making a weird whining sound. I call a guy and take it in immediately - he says it is the power steering - they over filled the reserve, which means something is wrong with the power steering - says it will cost at least $150 to fix. I call S&S and he acts like he has no idea what I am talking about, when I say power steering was overfilled again he has no idea and claims he didn't do it. Not true! Refusing to do anything. He knew we were buying with income tax money and we have 6 small children. He sold a death trap. NEVER BUY FROM THIS GUY - WILL RIP YOU OFF ANYWAY HE CAN! had to give 1 star or wouldn't let me post.
