These old boats require a special touch to be done correctly, and Bob gives it the old world handiwork that it requires. I'd be happy to recommend Wooden Boatworks to anyone with a classic boat.

He believes he is the foremost expert on all things water related, also a little arrogant, or ignorant in my opinion. I bought a 2008 Mariah SX19 from him, well from his minion Brian. I dealt with Brian for the most part, until it was time to sign paperwork that is, and then Joe steps in, "back from his vacation... again". After confirming the negotiations with Joe I signed on the dotted line... BIG MISTAKE! Before we even left the lot with the boat, the right rear tail light was out, which I have since replaced with LED ones. You would think that the boat and trailer would have been inspected before the finalized paper work was done i.e. any car dealer or such doing a "101 point inspection". Got the boat out to the water and realized the bilge pump didn't work, well since the dealership is land locked how would I have known. He owned up to this and replaced it, but again how would HE NOT have known if they did an inspection beforehand. I had to bring the boat all the way back from Lake Allatoona to Douglasville, which is a hassle for me, the customer. While out on the lake, the same day as the bilge pump incident ,the bimini top that was suppose to be new had failed. I was promised by Brian it would be replaced with "Sunbrella" material and a stronger frame, along with the installing the snap in carpet that was being "fixed". I came back on the day we, Brian and I, decided on and the bimini was the same one as before, they just replaced some screws in the frame, the carpet was not done and the pump was the only thing done as promised. The lack of communication was terrible. I was told then that the carpet was "cut wrong and this was the bimini they order for every boat that needs one”. It’s that $100 version you would use for a Bayliner, no offense, but this is not what we had agreed on. I had already made plans for the weekend with it and was not going to cancel them. Bra
