The only good thing I can say is his prices are fair. After that, he is a miserable human being and very difficult to work with. He truly treats his customers as if they should be lucky to have him as their mechanic (remember the "Soup Nazi"?), he is rude and does not appreciate the fact that his customers keep him in business. I have referred neighbors to him mainly because his price beats others on the lake. That said, I won't pay him another nickel to take care of my boat. I'll look for a mechanic who appreciates me as a customer and values the fact that I provide income to help pay his bills. Never Again Ralph!!!!

He gave me a ton of information I did not know about, pointing me in directions other than his business. You don't get that kind of help now days from businesses. I absolutely bookmarked him in my computer and will be using him when we do decide to purchase our own RV. Thank you Trey for taking the time to help me today!!! Know that good service like you provided is both noticed by customers and appreciated.

Initially it seemed like a good deal, and a quote for replacing an engine and 3 cutlass bearings was $5,233. It took Jim 50 days in the yard, and at the end I was presented a bill for $10,209, which included 2 engine install charges because he ordered and installed the wrong engine, so he had to install another one. I have paid $7,000 and I want consideration for the insane time it took for this work. I had to pay$1,230 in moving and storage fees during the last 30 days. The mistakes Jim did were: Recommended replacing the Port engine (works fine), Recommended draining all fuel (180 gallons - not needed), Did not replace temperature sensor on new engine, did not put anodes or cotter pins on prop shafts, Messed up the retaining nuts on prop shafts by drilling out the broken bolts with a bit that was too big. I was shocked that he ordered, assembled, set timing and put the wrong starter on the engine. I am a very easy going person, but the lack of mechanical skill and Jim's attempts to bully me into paying before the work was done just was too much - charging twice what was estimated, working on the boat in the yard for 50 days and installing the wrong engine, and expecting me to pay for his mistake makes these guys the WRONG choice!
