The owner, Dave, quoted $175 to get it ready for summer.  As he was asking us questions, I got a bad feeling. My gut was telling me he was trying to find out how much we knew about boats so he could BS us and get more money out of us. I told Mike my feelings when we got home. Sure enough, Dave called us to say the engine was shot, but hey, he could put in another for $7,000 or "take it off our hands" for $3,600 and put us in a $15,000 boat. I disagreed and told him I wanted a second opinion. He then got haughty and told me that would be a waste of money. I instructed not to do any more work and we would pick the boat up. They had dismantled the outboard and other parts when we picked the boat up. He still wanted the $175, but did cut it down to $125. We took the boat home. A couple of Mike's friends started working on it and, guess what, the engine started right up. There was a kill switch to be turned on, apparently. We approached Dave again, showed him the video of the boat starting, and wanted our money back. He said he had to talk to the guy working on it. We complied and one of our friends went with us to talk to him. Dave had to talk to him alone. When he was done, Dave came out and said he wasn't going to give our money back because we "paid him for an opinion." I said, no, we paid you to get it ready for summer. You didn't do that. He said he didn't know what miracle happened to get the engine running, but he stood by his opinion the engine was blown. He also claimed he didn't want us to spend any money on the boat and advised as such. I called him on his BS and he called me a bully. My advice, do not take your boat to this guy.

He gave me a ton of information I did not know about, pointing me in directions other than his business. You don't get that kind of help now days from businesses. I absolutely bookmarked him in my computer and will be using him when we do decide to purchase our own RV. Thank you Trey for taking the time to help me today!!! Know that good service like you provided is both noticed by customers and appreciated.

He believes he is the foremost expert on all things water related, also a little arrogant, or ignorant in my opinion. I bought a 2008 Mariah SX19 from him, well from his minion Brian. I dealt with Brian for the most part, until it was time to sign paperwork that is, and then Joe steps in, "back from his vacation... again". After confirming the negotiations with Joe I signed on the dotted line... BIG MISTAKE! Before we even left the lot with the boat, the right rear tail light was out, which I have since replaced with LED ones. You would think that the boat and trailer would have been inspected before the finalized paper work was done i.e. any car dealer or such doing a "101 point inspection". Got the boat out to the water and realized the bilge pump didn't work, well since the dealership is land locked how would I have known. He owned up to this and replaced it, but again how would HE NOT have known if they did an inspection beforehand. I had to bring the boat all the way back from Lake Allatoona to Douglasville, which is a hassle for me, the customer. While out on the lake, the same day as the bilge pump incident ,the bimini top that was suppose to be new had failed. I was promised by Brian it would be replaced with "Sunbrella" material and a stronger frame, along with the installing the snap in carpet that was being "fixed". I came back on the day we, Brian and I, decided on and the bimini was the same one as before, they just replaced some screws in the frame, the carpet was not done and the pump was the only thing done as promised. The lack of communication was terrible. I was told then that the carpet was "cut wrong and this was the bimini they order for every boat that needs one”. It’s that $100 version you would use for a Bayliner, no offense, but this is not what we had agreed on. I had already made plans for the weekend with it and was not going to cancel them. Bra
