I am not one to write reviews but wanted to give a shout out to the Fr... read more I am not one to write reviews but wanted to give a shout out to the Friendly Gus at Exit 49 off 16. Hwy 257. I was traveling back from Savannah from visiting friends yesterday, when the engine blew in my car. I was traveling with my 8yr and 10yr old girls by myself. This could have been a very scary experience for all but upon leaving the Friendly Gus, my children exclaimed "breaking down is awesome!" We broke down on the exit ramp and had to cross Hwy 257 to get to the Friendly Gus where upon arrival everyone was extremely nice, helpful and genuinely concerned, including the customers. We had to spend over 2 hours at the Friendly Gus waiting for my brother to come from Athens to tow us home. During this time, everyone was remained extremely nice, the food was good, the AC was cold and the restrooms were clean! I would pay extra to have service like this! God Bless those employees and I hope the owner appreciates them as much as I do. They were my angels yesterday!
