Called during my lunch break to see if he had the right throttle cable... read more Called during my lunch break to see if he had the right throttle cables for my Outboard motor.... He said hang on while he checked while I waited on the phone.... Came back and said he didn't have 11ft cable but that 14 ft for $31 each that would work and had 2 new ones....He stated that he was open until 5 pm. So I left work early and arrived at 450pm... He wasn't there and young man working outside said he would be back in 20 min.... 30 min later Scott -owner shows up..... He goes in to look for cables and comes back 10 min later saying he only had 1 cable.....I then said but I specifically asked u if u had in stock and u said yes.... He made excuse and then said he had used cables and would look at those..... 5 min later comes back amd says only ones he were high performance one that were used and estimated price at over $50 each...... Total waste of my time.
I normally do not give bad reviews but in this case the public should ... read more I normally do not give bad reviews but in this case the public should know. I was buying a private sale boat w/ and Evenrude outboard motor. I wanted it checked by a cert. Evenrude mechanic so I went to BWB. I told him (Doug) to go through the motor and tell me what it needed. I was told everything was good after they checked it. I was finally able to go out with it with my wife and got stuck in the inter coastal. The boat would not go up on plane. No high speed throttle. I took the boat back and told them the symptoms including that it was smoking excessively. I was told it was because the motor was a 2 stroke. Now I know 2 stroke motors and this was not normal. Again it was checked by BWB and I was told it was OK. I asked them if it was tested at high speed and was told NO. Now I told them it was at high speed throttle that it would bog down and stop. I was told again it was OK. I took my wife and grand-daughter out on the inter coastal and got stuck again. NO high speed throttle. I was told to bring it back and again I gave them the symptoms. Finally after the third time their I'm told it was my VRO pump. WELL it was the VRO pump all along. Mind you I'm charged all the time. The third time I told Doug there was no way I was paying. But he had the nerve to charge me for shop supplies. Now that took nerve plus he did not come out and even speak to me when I picked the boat up. The lady that worked there was snippy and rude. So BEWARE before you bring you boat to Blue Water Boats in Holly Hill, Florida.
