Pre-paid for service to be performed on the car and it came back worse than when it had been given to them to work on. Weeks later after getting some more money together I took my vehicle to another shop where they looked at the vehicle and all of the electrical wires had been ruined with permatex glue, and joined back together incorrectly causing the car to shift improperly. They also caused damage to the newer transmission when forcing the new wires back together. An additional several hundred dollars later and my car is finally fixed correctly. Do not take your car to these guys even if they are your cheapest quote, trust me it will end up costing you twice as much in the long-run. I feel as if once I had paid they no longer cared about fixing the vehicle figuring they had nothing to lose. I do not like leaving bad feedback about people but I even called the guy to see if out of good faith he would help me pay even with a small amount to fix the damage they had caused to my vehicle which led me to incur unnecessary expenses and he just said " Oh well I am glad that it is all fixed now, I just feel that I didn't make any money on your 'repair' so I have nothing I can do for you." Not good business, when people read this it will cost him more jobs in the long run. You have been fore-warned. Take your car to Del Trans, Schilling, or even Meenan even if they quote you a little higher, at least they will do the work right the first time.
DON’T GET RIPPED OFF... TAKE YOUR CAR SOMEWHERE ELSE... read more DON’T GET RIPPED OFF... TAKE YOUR CAR SOMEWHERE ELSE I took my wife's 10 year old Mazda to Campanella's to diagnose check engine light. I explained to them, "I just paid you $1,000 for work on the car 2 months ago and I don't want to put more money into it if I don't have to. The car is too old for that." I asked and was told that diagnosis would be $95 if I chose not to have repair done. Figured I might as well get the work done. Boy, was I wrong ! I should have just paid the $95 for dignosis and left. Bill was itemized as follows: PARTS $121.75 for air intake hose FP47-13-220A that Mazda sells for $60.95 list. (on-line list prices ranged from $33.38 to $48.25) $ 20.05 "Shop Supplies" (when I asked I was told, "We add that to all bills"). LABOR $ 95.00 Diagnosis (no skill, just plug it in, get the code, look up the code). $ 32.96 Labor (easy access / right on top, all you need is a screw driver and pliers, remove 4 clamps, insert hose, replace clamps) 10 min. tops. This was in addition to the $95 diagnosis charge. $ 3.00 "Hazardous Materials" (dispose of a 3" diameter x 18" long hose) _______ $272.76 TOTAL I'LL NEVER TAKE ANY VEHICLE TO PAUL CAMPANELLA'S AGAIN ! They may suck you in by doing flat repairs for free... But when you give them a shot at real service they act like pigs.
