Don't take your car here - there are better options. - I picked up my car and there was a large dent on the roof - it definitely wasn't there when I dropped it off and Performance Imports denied doing it - charged me $122 for a diagnostic - told me I had $6,300 worth of repairs. - after I paid, they brought me my car and then denied putting the dent in it. They said they didn't do it because they only drove the car a few minutes and parked it - I said how did you get to $6,300 if you didn't even look under the hood or put on a lift! They said when they drove it they could tell clutch needed replacing and based on age and history of car, the brakes needed replacing - WHAT!!!!! - I asked them if they wanted to buy the car, they said it wasn't worth much but they would dispose of it at no charge or I could donate it. When I left the dealership, I went to the Audi dealership and they bought the car for $2,600 and would have given me more if there wasn't a big dent on the roof! What scam artists Performance imports are. I have tried to work with them - Ron is a nice guy but 3 times I have called to tell them how upset I was and I have asked only for the diagnostic fee back - he says he will check with the owners and call me back and he never has. Please do not take your car here as they are not to be trusted to provide good service or give honest advice.

In multiple advertisements they claimed "everything works, no rust." Also, I paid them for a safety inspection and oil change just after purchase. I bought the car with their assurance that the car was ready for a trip to the bottom of South America with my wife and three year old boy. What I got was not that. The cars brakes were unsafe, a caliper piston welded from heat and the inner pads to bare metal, in other words, unsafe stopping putting my family at risk. I mentioned this to one of their techs who said it was probably just from sitting. They never called me back. The mileage difference from when I bought the car and pad for the safety inspection was about 30 miles. Last time I checked, it is impossible to wear out a set of brake pads in 30 miles or from a car sitting in a lot. Other misrepresentations. A speaker is blown. Speedometer is not working. The seals around the differential are leaking. Rust is hiding in every wheel well. On the positive side, the manager has good demeanor and put some effort into getting the cruise and tachometer working so that the car could be as claimed. They also held the car for me until the snow thawed and it could be shipping to Atlanta. Frustratingly, however, it took 10 phone calls each time to get them to follow up and each time I got the feeling that I was the bad guy just by asking them to be their word about how the car was advertised. My mistakes: Not using an impartial mechanic to inspect the car and trusting Performance Imports to be impartial. You're welcome to contact me.
