They thoroughly examined the area, showed me the condition of the piping, gave me a couple of estimates based on brand new piping, or being able to weld the problem area. The mechanic who did the welding did a terrific job. They saved me money, and got the job done perfectly! I had the car the next morning! Couldn't ask for better service!

I must say, this was not so when I visited Tunxis - it was by far the best experience I have ever had with a mechanic. I was treated fairly and kindly, and the owner was extremely helpful and caring when they replaced my heater. I came to the mechanic with my two year old daughter, and the owner helped me install her car seat in the loaner vehicle. I took the car in on a Friday and the parts weren't available until Monday, but they let me keep the loaner car over the weekend so that I would have heat over the weekend (this was in the winter). They explained in clear terms what repairs were needed and repaired it for a reasonable price. I very highly recommend Tunxis.

I had a very unpleasant experience today and the young lady named Sarah, who identified herself as the boss, was extremely rude, and unprofessional. I'd like to know why I was charged 0.11 today for a purchase that I never made. The pump, #7, that I tried to use today was malfunctioning. The key pad wouldn't allow me to enter my zip code and when I went into the store to have the purchase charged to my credit card Sarah said she didn't have time to notify the customers of the malfunction. O.k. that's fine, but when I asked to have the charge put on my cardSarah, once again very rudely told me to go out and hit cancel and then went on to repeat herself as if I didn't understand the first time. When I finally tried to fill my tank the amount started at 0.11 cents before I even started pumping. I went in the store to ask why and to have my card credited and the young lady workingput eleven cents on the counter and said there was nothing she could do unless I wanted t wait for her to pull abetter answer out of her pocket. Well, I wonder if the Attorney General would like to vistit this location with me and wait for Sarah to pull a better answer out of her pocket. I will follow this up with a phone call to the store since Sarah would not provide me with any contact information even though I asked her twice. I will not be visiting Valero Fasmart again and I wouldn't want anyone else to either.
