I have a 2008 Impreza with 60K on odometer that stalled on a stop ligh... read more I have a 2008 Impreza with 60K on odometer that stalled on a stop light. I call the tow company and suggest the nearest auto shop. Unfortunately it was Auto Tech in Stamford. Service writer told me $129 for diagnose before he can give estimated price for a repair. He call later that day and said the technician has found nothing major issue except I need a new battery and minor engine tune-up. He quoted a price of $650. I said I have other concern about my AC is not blowing cold. He said they will do another diagnose and give me a quote to fix it. They found out my car need a new AC condenser which cost $750 to fix. All in all I paid $1400 after my Triple A discount. I ask about the warranty he said 2 years. After a month my AC is not working again so I bring it back and they told me the new AC condenser works fine the problem is the compressor it need to be replace. it’s kind of fishy to me because when they diagnose my AC for the first time there’s nothing wrong with the compressor now they insist it’s broken and wants me to spend a $1000. Sorry to say but these guys are crooks and untrustworthy. I suggest to avoid this shop they will take your money and never fix the problem.

I moved here in 1992. From my 1st visit I knew I was in competent hands. By age 67, I’ve had quite a large experience with mechanics, etc. By far Twin Towers is the best. Prompt scheduling for car emergencies, frequent calls with any sub-optimal or abnormal findings, options, estimates, updates, road test results, etc. There are never any surprises. It’s a family-owned business for generations. Twin Towers is the only service station I’ll ever use. “5 stars” doesn’t adequately describe the experience you will have at Twin Towers.
