I had been to two other repair shops that fixed it temporarily but after a couple of weeks it wouldn't start. JDL diagnosed the problem, fixed it and it has ran perfect for the last two year. This month ie Aug 2015 my norcold frig in the motorhome stopped working. I was out of state and took it to an out of state rv repair facility. The tech replaced a control board and when it still didn't work he replaced the new control board with another new control board. When it still didn't work he said the problem was due to voltage and replaced the inverter. When it still didn't work he said it needed an AC heater. I gave up and decided to wait until returning to Co. When I took it to JDL he diagnosed the problem as wiring. The out of state tech had improperly plugged in the control panel. The JDL tech corrected the wiring (it didn't need an ac heater) and the refrig works perfect. (JDL could have tried to sell me additional parts but didn't.)

First the calrod unit went out, and then the flow from the water heater stopped completely. I looked online, and JDL Trailer Sales of Pueblo, Colorado was the closest listed repair facility to our planned route. I noticed that JDL had a D- BBB rating, but it was only one complaint, so I decided to go to them anyway. I had diagnosed the flow problem to be the outflow check valve, and relayed that fact to the people at JDL. I also mentioned that the calrod unit had quit. To my delight they said that they could repair my water heater, rather than replace it. That afternoon JDL called and said that the motorhome was ready, so I went to pick it up. They said that the problem was the check valve, and everything was ready to go. I asked about the calrod unit, and was greeted with totally blank stares that told me the fact that I also wanted the calrod unit replaced had totally escaped them. They told me to bring the motorhome back the next day, and they would replace the calrod. When I picked the motorhome up the next day, they said that everything was working properly, and indeed it was. They had also replaced the pressure relief valve, which was probably a good idea, but was not a critical item at that time, and can be easily accessed if it needs service. The charge was “reduced” to only $842.81, because I had to bring the motorhome back to complete the work. About 65 days later, while I was in Michigan, the flow from the water heater abruptly stopped again. This time I determined that the problem was on the inflow to the water heater. In a conversation with the tech department of my motorhome manufacturer, I discovered that there is also an inflow check valve that prevents hot water from backing up into the cold water system when the water heats. The inflow check valve is located on the back of the water heater, just below the outflow check valve. Both must be accessed with the left hand while wor
