At the time I went, about 6 months ago, it seemed that the brothers had recently teamed up on this new smog-check business venture. One of the brothers was there when I arrived and he was incredibly enthusiastic. He offered me reading material and a coke while I waited--- I turned him down, but the gesture was very sweet. Overall, the guy did my job quickly and efficiently and with an ardent desire to please his customer. What more could you ask for? And he was open late-- hence how I ended up there after passing mulitple closed smog check only sites after work.
The station is under new ownership and is just not the same. The price... read more The station is under new ownership and is just not the same. The prices are higher and the personnel have changed. I got an estimate to change the transmission fluid in my car which has 30K miles. The quote was extremely high so I called the dealer. What surprised me is that the dealer informed me that my vehicle has no dip stick and does not need the fluid changed until 100K miles. Not only was Phil's price higher then the dealer, they were going to sell me something that I didn't need. Buyer Beware I guess.
