When I drove the car, everything seemed PERFECT! The A/C & heat worked GREAT, no oil leaks, etc. I found out the real story was that he was an old lady's mechanic. (she was the original owner from 1989). Her transmission went out, and Adiel wanted $3000 to fix it. The poor old lady didn't have the money, so he offered her $800 for the car (with only 75,000 orig miles!) He then "fixed" the transmission, and turned around and sold it to me for a lot more! One of his mechanics is under the hood right NOW, putting in a new air conditioner for over $400! I asked him since he guaranteed everything worked, couldn't I get SOME kind of discount, but he just walked away!!!!! I will NEVER bring my car to him again, and I can't wait to get the hell out of here! What a horrible "man" and business person!!!!

The sad part is that if the guy had simply admitted he didn't listen to us when we told him about the car having had the engine replaced before instead of calling us liars, he could have kept a customer. I guess pride and poor business practice is just more important to him.
James did my Lexus (about 10 years old) smog test only for $50. He is... read more James did my Lexus (about 10 years old) smog test only for $50. He is friendly and does a good job. In and out, took about 15 or 20 minutes. This is our second car we've taken in. Took our 18 year old Camry some months ago. When it needed work before passing, I just went to our mechanic at Woodlake Auto Shop, Stewart had his mechanics do the repairs. I then went back to James for the smog without any additional fees and the Camry passed.
