After limping for miles I stumbled across George's Service Center in Churchville NY and left my Mini Cooper there. I called George Jr. in the morning to let them know what happened and why I left the car. George Jr said he would take a look and get back to me with options. I spoke with George, and George Jr several times, they kept me informed with how the job progressed, made a tire recommendation (saving me 60 bucks per tire recommending an off brand that he had personal positive experiences with). As he started the work it was discovered that the inside rim was bent, and he sent me a text photo so I could confirm the damage. Luckily George Jr had the equipment to straighten the rim. Now I was suspicious of the "local" gas station type service station, and was waiting to hear about some add-on's or the next surprise issue that arose. When I came in to pick up the car, the quote I received on the phone was exactly as my bill. I feel the price was more than fair, and they did the job quickly and apparently accurately. Long and short, talk to George's for your next issue, I feel that they are exceptional people and deserve your business if you are in the area and need work done on your car. I felt like I was a valuable repeat customer not just some guy from out of town, they could have jacked up their price and led me on, they didn't. 5 stars George's Service!

Engine was skipping badly. I just didn't have time to deal with it. I am not a professional mechanic but have been working on cars since I was a kid and I'm almost 50 now. (my dad restored cars when I was growing up) The diagnoses was a blown head gasket and would cost 987.00 to replace. Ok, truck hasn't been overheated and coolant level isn't going down at all. Guess its time to check it out myself. My son and I removed the plugs, looks like valve seals are leaking a little oil but no sign of coolant. We checked the wires, # 2 wire had a short. We installed new plugs and wires truck ran perfect and check engine light went out. It's been 3 weeks since we installed new plugs and wires, no sign of plug fouling. Simple repair. Not sure if the mechanic is just inexperienced or just needs more work but beware!
