He was very detailed in assessment and advocated in our best interest. He knows VWs and wish he were in CO so he could be our full time mechanic. PS Not sure about the reviewers on friendliness. I will continue to take my VW to Das Autohaus for any and every repair because they always take care of the problem quickly and thoroughly and with smiles and friendly service as well. They're just good, trustworthy folks at Das Autohaus so if you drive a VW or European car, take your car to Dave and his awesome mechanics!!! They'll take good care of you and your car!!!
If you like your car, DO NOT TAKE IT HERE, the price is cheap but your... read more If you like your car, DO NOT TAKE IT HERE, the price is cheap but your car will most likely be damaged from the shoddy workmanship. If you complain about the gouges on the trim on the inside of the windshield posts, or the scratch on the paint, or the fact that there is now a gap on the top edge of the windshield trim, be prepared to listen to how you put them there and they didn't. They will tell you that it is an old car and those gouges in your windshield trim is old damage that was already there. Fortunately I went next door to PickNPull and was able to buy matching trim from another car that was in excellent condition. I was lucky, you may not be, I will also have to get some trim sealer to seal the trim on the top of the windshield so water doesn't get down under the windshield and rust out the metal underneath. The workmanship is very shoddy.
